Have you heard about the Live Your Passion Rally? My notes from last Saturday are now 3 days old. Not exactly breaking news, but I want to share what stood out for me.
Why a “rally” just a few weeks after Convention?
It’s been only a couple of weeks since the convention, and I’m still coming down from that buzz. Last week my upline texted me an invitation to this rally. I had no idea what this event was about, but I am glad I said yes.Besides the NingXia shot, and the chance to win door prizes, I also got to hear from some YL members who had tried different new products, and to catch some of their excitement about them.
The best thing about the YL Rally?
Besides the NingXia shot, and the chance to win door prizes, I also got to hear from some YL members who had tried different new products, and to catch some of their excitement about them. There’s nothing better than being in a room with a hundred other Essential Oilers who love Young Young Living.
About all those new products…
First, if you were at the convention, you’ll remember that the Order Pickup ballroom those last couple of days was ka-raazy busy! Although I ordered some of the new products, I didn’t want to miss the final day’s classes just to stand in line and wait to pick up my filled order. I figured I’d just order them as soon as I got home.I abandoned the order I placed at Convention.
I abandoned the order I placed at Convention.
By the time I hit the YL website Sunday evening, a lot of the products I wanted to buy and try were back ordered. Still, I got a few:
- Insect Repellent
- SuperCal Plus (which I can only remember by name if I sing “Supercalifragelisticexpialidocious” Ha!)
- ART Renewal Serum (which is not new to Young Living, but is new to me)
Delighted with their arrival, I’ve been using and sharing ever since. (I’ll save these for another blog post.)
The rally last Saturday provided supplemental information, especially for members who couldn’t make it to Convention. There were even hints of more new products to come! From my notes, here’s what impressed me the most.
Mineral Sunscreen Lotion
The new Mineral Sunscreen Lotion is one of the groundbreaking products released at Convention. It’s a super slick upgrade to the old zinc oxide standby. I used to use zinc oxide and titanium oxides over all the other chemical alternatives on the market because it simply sits there and blocks the sun rays. It does it the old fashioned way, and doesn’t cause your skin to change or react to any chemicals, but, let’s face it, zinc and titanium oxides are old school. Thick, heavy, pasty and sticky. Sometimes they leave a slight white sheen until your skin absorbs it.
There have been summer days when I check the mirror an hour after I’ve left the house and see a chunk of white stuff that I neglected to rub in. Awkward.
Until now, there were few choices. You either purchased a chemical, or you had no choice but to purchase zinc and titanium oxide with nano-particles. But no longer! Young Living has created an invisible, smooth-spreading, lovely substance that contains no nano-particles. Zero. Zip. Zilch.
Most sunscreens that you slather all over your skin have tiny little particles that are so small they get absorbed into your skin and into your bloodstream and tissues. This is one of those questionable practices that Young Living is dedicated to avoiding. We don’t know what these nano-particles other companies’ products might cause; more long term testing must still be done.
Sticking to high standards of purity and quality, when Young Living developed its sunscreen, the scientists decided not to take any risks with your skin.
This zinc oxide formula is coated with oils, so it glides on your skin, blocks harmful sun rays, and allows you to stay in the sun 10 times as long as without sunscreen and chemicals. It’s truly a breakthrough sunscreen.
After Sun Spray…
For the longest time, Young living members knew that essential oils had the power to relieve sunburn pain. but we had to dance around that claim because the FDA had not approved it… yet. Now we have a product that we can actually say relieves and soothes the effects of the sun. The itching and burning are cooled and calmed with this new spray. In fact, the Lavaderm After Sun Spray is actually a medicine!
Yet, without harsh chemicals nor any artificial additives, Lavaderm uses the topical analgesic effects of cooling menthol from Peppermint Essential Oil.
It also relieves, cuts, minor burns, scrapes, and insect bites. Love it.
I’m proud to be a part of this company! Because Young Living is the Goliath of Essential Oils, ti’s no secret that we are watched and monitored more closely than any other essential oils health and wellness company. Young Living stepped up to this challenge and is now producing more and more products that allow its members to take back their voices. In cooperation with – not resistance against – government regulatory agencies, we are meeting this challenge.
Once again, Young Living’s integrity is unmatched among health and wellness companies.
On to the Insect Repellent…
Think about it for a minute. There are plants in the world that bugs absolutely hate. Why? The plant produces biochemical constituents that ward off harmful insects as a natural defense. These are present in their essential oils.
Think about Citronella and Lemongrass. People plant these near their outdoor spaces with the intention of utilizing their anti-bug benefits. Why wouldn’t you want to bottle that magic and replace the sticky, greasy, nasty stuff that’s already in your car or on your back patio table?
P.S. The Insect Repellent is gentle enough to use on kids!
Which brings us to the next awesome new product line…
I can’t wait to get my hands on this Seedlings line. There are so many times I’ve wished I could go back to any point in my kids’ childhoods and do things differently.
Moms are always trying to do better for our children. (Call it Mom Guilt. Ugh.)
Well, nothing is lost or wasted. Now is my chance to help a new mom or dad by sharing what I know to be true. Chemicals on your baby can’t be good. Start a natural regimen for cleaning when they are young, and start right now to detoxify their environment the best you can.
I figure that learning about these products (that didn’t exist 20 years ago) and sharing them with new moms today is the best way to pay it forward to young parents and their babies everywhere. These products are Young Living at its best.
The Seedlings line includes, baby oil, baby lotion, diaper rash cream, baby wash and shampoo, linen spray, and baby wipes.
What a great gift from an older aunt or grandma to a young family! I am so excited for new families today. They get such a wonderful chance at health and wellness. We know so much more than just 20 years ago. It’s my mission to share this. Little by little, the world will be a better, less toxic place.
The Seedlings line proves that Young Living’s goal to bring essential oils to every home on the planet is for real. Healthy, fabulous smelling products, beautiful packaging, and easy access to information provide a foundation for every family to build on. These are products worth talking about with everyone you know who knows people with babies!
The best for last…
A quick word about the Savvy Minerals Makeup Line. So much has been written elsewhere about these new products that I’m not going to mention them until I try them myself.
But I have a bit of news…
Young Living is releasing a mascara in August. Drop the mic.
I can’t decide whether the NingXia shot or this little piece of news rocked my day more. If you’re in search of the perfect mascara, you know how I feel.
The countdown to mascara begins…
By the way, there will be quarterly Rally events this year. Maybe I’ll see you at one. If so, be sure and say hi!
Or say hi right here!
